Steering mechanism repair kit
Steering is one of the most important systems in a car. Together with the brakes, it is responsible for active driving safety. Therefore, it is very important not only to diagnose in time, but also to eliminate all problems associated with the steering. In this case, high-quality spare parts, their durability, and compliance with the model and characteristics of the machine play an important role. In particular, sets of consumables and parts for the repair of a particular component or assembly, such as a steering rack repair kit.
Why do you need a repair kit?
In most cases, it is not necessary to replace a car part or assembly that has failed in its entirety. This is often impractical: firstly, it is expensive, and secondly, the unit installed at the factory is often better in terms of parameters than those supplied as spare parts. It is enough to replace the most worn parts: gaskets, seals, bearings, fasteners, etc. Most of these materials are standard and are included in the repair kit.
What does a repair kit consist of?
By analyzing the most common breakdowns, STS PARTS specialists select the spare parts that wear out most often. For the most part, these are parts that can be called consumables. As for the elements of the steering rack, these are mainly bearing bushings, sometimes the bearings themselves, Teflon rubber rings, seals, gaskets, etc. The specific composition of the steering rack repair kit depends on its type and a particular car model.
For example, a power steering repair kit will necessarily include sealing and protective rings for the hydraulic cylinder and distributor, seals, and bearings.
