What is a steering tie rod?
A steering tie rod is a crucial control element, connecting the steering mechanism and the tie rod end. The system of rods, known as the steering trapezium, ensures the wheels turn at the necessary angles. The condition of all its components directly affects the precision of vehicle control and, consequently, driving safety. How to recognize a faulty steering tie rod

This can be accelerated by premature destruction of the polymer coating of the ball, poor quality of lubricant, or its absence. The latter is often caused by damage to the protective covers of the tie rod - the dust boots.
